Robert Nickel, Host and Producer
Robert Nickel grew up in Point Loma, and made his theater debut in Doctor Steven's fifth-grade class performance of Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing at Sunset View Elementary. He was a member of the Point Loma High School Thespian Society, and earned his B.A. in theater at Stanford. He has served as artistic director for several faith-based theater companies, both in the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego. His first appearance for Point Loma Playhouse was in (what else?) the 24 Experiment 2019, and he now serves as board president. He may also be known to local audiences in his role as executive director of ActLiveNow Youth Theater.
Gunnar Ramstrum, Host and Producer
Gunnar is a founding member of Point Loma Playhouse, supporting the efforts as board member, tech, writer and actor. Gunnar has performed in workshops and productions and has received awards in both comedy, drama and writing. Gunnar performed in productions with Point Loma Actors, including: Silvia, Polish Joke and Greater Tuna and 10 other small skit venues. Gunnar sees acting as an evolution of human spirit and development. When an actor becomes the character, humanity is opening to a greater being. Acting is beautiful.
Coco Sein, Production Manager
Coco has been working for the Point Loma Playhouse since 2008 on the technical crew and the hospitality committee. Currently she is working as a Production Manager and loves her role. She believes the most important responsibility of the Production Manager is the development of a highly motivated and collaborative team. Coco’s Production Manager/Producer experiences included; Tally’s Folly, Circle Mirror Transformation, A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking, Clever Little Lies, Building The Wall, Wally’s Cafe, Love/Sick and The Marvelous Woinderettes. Coco also serves as Treasurer of the board members at Point Loma Playhouse.
David Sein, Founder and Director of Education
David is a founding member of Point Loma Playhouse. He has been a producer, director and playwright for the past 25 years. He is the founder of Point Loma Actors Theatre (PLAT). Productions include; Kimberly Akimbo, America's Finest City, Cafe Risque, Steel Magnolias, Sylvia, Tuna Christmas, Fuddy Meers, Driving Miss Daisy, Romantic Fools-PLAT, The Obiturist,-Northpark Playhouse, A Midsummer Night's Dream-NTC, An Honest Arrangement-New Perspectives Festival, Only In New York- PLAT, Greater Tuna,-PLAT, Polish Joke-PLAT, Food For Thought-PLAT, Goodbye Charlie- Cabrillo Playhouse, Belle of Amherst-La Jolla MOCA Theatre.
Joella Wu-Cardona, Tech Operator and Production Assistant
Joella has been working with the Point Loma Playhouse since 2022, primarily in tech. They are an alumni of Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Theater. Joella has worked on numerous productions at the Point Loma Playhouse, including: Love/Sick, 24 Experiment (2022), Stars Of Tomorrow, and more. Joella is excited to return to the 24 Experiment this year!
